for a change...

Into the wild,
on the highway,
in a lonely road,
me and me alone.

I walked a lot...

I walked,
to find the answers,
of questions unknown.

I walked,
in search of questions,
with answers unexplored.

I walked,
into the oblivion,
of my mind,
of my soul.

Till the serenity of my past,
was lost somewhere,
and my palpable feelings,
numbed to death.

So I turned back,
and follow the imprints I made,
reached to the point,
back from where I began.

And started the journey again.

Just for a change...

Book Review: 'The Goal'

Book Review: The Goal

Author: Eliyahu M. Goldratt

I usually don’t write reviews, but this book worth one. Two reasons: First, In a long time I hadn’t written anything here (Sheepish smile) and second, this novel dramatically turns my interest in it; that’s when I was just about to let it off from the view, it added the fictional stance (a trick that such kind of novels generally used) in it and put the whole point in a complete laymen’s language. A Novel that makes you understands the ultimate goal of any business and tells you the importance of bottlenecks (“Theory of Constraints” basically). Loosely coupled with the fictional standpoint, the novel discusses the reasons for how ‘common sense’ works above any science, any calculation and above any pre build regulation or law. That, rather than following a generalized process one has to be logical enough to question everything and search for the answer in generic way.

The story is about the protagonist (Al. Rogo) who is a metal-working plant manager and was struggling not just with his distressing marriage which was at its verge to burst open but also with the continuous losses and deteriorating quality in his plant. Worsen the condition, the Division Head already made his mind to close the plant because of its ailing situation. At such point Rogo met someone who changed his life forever. He just didn’t alleviate the condition of his plant but also changed the way he looked upon his life. Supports ‘common sense’ and ‘common practice’ all together; this novel’s more than just another entrepreneur novel.

“Awkwardly woven around the deteriorating metal working plant and its phoenix like recurrence, this one's worth a read till 6’ in the morning. A must for all entrepreneurs and aspiring managers”.

It's not a God n Science thing

S: “Who’s superior – light or dark?”
C: “Off course! Light”
S: “But dark is the source of curiosity, isn’t it?”
C: “Yeah! (stammering ...), but (stammered again ...)”
[ The war had already begun between the conscious(C) and the sub-conscious(S). ]

The question was simple, might be utmost trivial if one was already convinced with age old theories without pouring a second thought onto it. Stepping back was now a complete ignorance (it’s not like I don’t like ignorance but at the cost of ego, never!), so I decided to dive into and try to figure out the exact dimensions of this horrendous yet pragmatic query.
Who are we to judge the supremacy of light without even letting the power of darkness known? Dark is not the ignorance but in contrast is the source of curiosity. Who are we to affix it to devil, to demon when it gifted us the place called ‘universe’. Light is just a part of whole, whole that is made up of dark, dark, and incessant dark only. What we can see, we can perceive but what about the things that are still hidden in the dark? They are the future pillar, they are the part of next civilization and next to them too yet they are securely preserved in those dark creeks.
Digging deep I took yet another harsher verdict. A verdict of going against the universal perception of god. God as a source of light. For me, God’s not what is known but what’s still unknown, God is what you can’t compare, you can’t see and you can’t feel. Then how come he is a source of light? Instead he seems to be the creator of dark and virtually creator of everything that exists, whether you can perceive it or not. Science on the other hand is the source of light, a systematic study which picks things from the dark and frame them as knowledge.
God is a superset of everything with Consciousness, Sub-consciousness and Un-Consciousness as its subsets. Dark on the other hand is what a conscious mind see, a sub-conscious mind perceive and an un-conscious mind feel. The only thing that could supersede God (Or the holy concept of god; for rational ones) would be then Dark only. This dark is the source of curiosity which ultimately leads to inspiration and then to innovation which brings light and tagged as Science (So humane, isn’t it?). All those bifurcations and relations that confound us and battling around in the core of our heart are the natural by-product of our wisdom, our ego and our judgements and our part that we call ‘knowledge’. All good, bad, evil are associated with science, with light. Dark know nothing.
You can prove what exists but how can you prove what does not exist that it does not exist? And that’s what dark offer - ‘God’ - a big ‘O’. May be bigger than the whole universe, may be bigger than the whole whole. It's darkness that gives us hope to discover a new what, a new where and a new why at every moment and at every single second to make it running what we call ‘Life’. We are constantly working on pouring everything in light, giving explanation to everything, picking it out of dark and out of god's hand.
This is what our ancestors did; whatever they could prove they tagged it as knowledge, rest everything was 'GOD'.

pERCEPTINg pERCEPTIOn

Sometime I wonder about the things. Things that surrounds us, things that fill this ether and the things that we perceive. I get surprised by the way we smell, we see, we touch, we hear and we think of them! There are so many ways to sense them. But then what surprises me more is their authenticity. How many times what we saw, what we feel is true, is authentic? I rarely found too many instances. From tiny speck to interminable space everything has a dark secret; everyone hid its identity in one way or the other.

I wasted my childhood thinking 'Black' and 'White' to be the primary colors just to discover later that they are nothing more than amalgamation. My whole world shrinks to Blue, Green, Red and their variations while I was breathing in a colorful million-colors-world. I was ticked off ( by parents and my teachers) for wasting time when they baked me with their ever favorite Time-n-tide-wait-for-none cliché. The time I got serious, they tainted the definition altogether. I still wonder why they called it fourth dimension that can be manipulated, that you can travel along.

Why perception is always utterly different from postulates? Why the things we call entirely non-sense at once suddenly become the part of greater sense, of higher intellect? And the question still remains if it’s really a war of intellect between God and Sapiens.

There are so many thoughts, few serious and many weirdest that constantly haunt me, that need much better explanations and a much deeper insight.

Exception Handling - A lost war of words

[It’s no way related to any technical discussion. Spoilers and Techno geeks - please stay away from here!!]

What a relativity aficionado, I am!! I love comparing things and their relative nature and was so much sure for no absolute that I postulated my own laws (don’t worry these are just for my own conscience and are not patented :D). I debated people many times n prove them wrong for clinging strictly to absolution. I was so happy with my generalizations that I get berserk whenever anyone opines differently.
It happens with a very silly discussion that burst up between me and one of my opponent last night (I hate him
for giving such a close fight every time :D). We were discussing my previous post where I mentioned the comparison between hot and too hot (and thus no absolute definition of being hot), he barked (yes we usually bark during discussions- a bit different from a usual scenario I know) that hot may be different than too hot but we can never call it cold; if it’s a rainy day we won’t go and call it spring whether or not it’s raining heavily. I knew there is no point in fighting back, he was right. You can compare superlatives and comparatives but you can’t do it with antonyms. Well, not in the way I was thinking (I would surly search for the answer, so stay tuned!!). For now, I got my lesson and got one more postulate in my list -

“The only perfect generalization that exists is - you cannot generalize anything.”

Exception is the integral part of any law, any postulate or say any hypothesis. It’s just like, the less exception that it have, the more perfect your idea would be. So, going along with the rest I accept exceptions to my postulates!! (Accepting defeat- yes its an exception to my behavior too).

Say Yes to Alcohol !!!

[The article is just a wild imagination of author and should not be taken as serious piece of information. It’s written just for the sake of fun. Information given here is heavily manipulated and need not to be correct as whole. It’s more of fun-elated and sarcastic critique. So please do read n enjoy it!! :D]

I looove it!! My first tête-à-tête with this was during my last year in college and from then on it’s goin along with me. Now who said that drinking is a bad habit! They might hvn’t seen the benefits though. It’s the one stop solution for all ur miseries.

Do you have a problem?? It has d solution:

  • You want to put on weight, just have two cans of beer daily.
  • You want to loose it, then five shots of whiskey works amazingly (for straight three months though).
  • You want to scold out someone without being charged for it, jst have five bottoms-up with extra large pegs.
  • Want to be the center of attraction, just go n have four pegs of vodka after three extra large whisky pegs [technically named as cocktail] n spill out ur guts(literally), it will make d whole party go crazy abt u(n that too in literal sense).
  • Can see all ur dreams cum true (in d form of hallucinations off course!!)
  • But abv all wht i flt great abt it is its use as cleansing agent. Aren’t you feeling gud? Just have eight whiskey shots on-the-rocks and you will find an instant effect. It will clean up all ur digestive system (The best part is, it works like anesthesia, you didn't even remember what happens and you are done.)

(Most of the above exercises are tried and tested, so don’t wury they are completely harmless and without any side-effects.)

Believe me there is no problem or disease that can't be cured using alcohol (n they call it a bad habit, so sick!!). Not on physical level but on psychological upfront too it works amazingly, I had seen so many love stories that r wrapped around a single phone call which was made in dat deranged condition.

So see how drinking helps us in living a better and more delightful life. Now it’s our duty to eradicate d misnomer and taboo attached to it. I know d task is difficult (to convince ppl abt its benefits), but I am determined and expecting support frm all u drunkards (who make optimum utilization of potholes n road sides by occupying them now n then) to join hand n fight against dis ignorance. Say hail to this Elixir of life!!

Balancing Act !!

Believe me! It took so long for me to get it, acknowledge it and to accept and engulf this hard fact dat I cannot be an all-good person everytime and for everyone.

You cannot live being only a good man or a bad one. Its just like, your good deeds for one proves to be bad for others. Besides whats in doing good everytime(even if its a case possible). Its a relative term, just like hot and too hot. Your good deeds will be compared then. You cannot run from being (labelled) bad. As the world cannot stood by the positive energy only, an anti-positive energy(yes i know the non-existence of the term 'anti-positive' but jst to ensure d relativity btwn the terms) is much needed everytime to counter balance it.

Have you ever thought of God's existence if there wudn't be any devil(or call it a concept of devil), or the Law and order if no anarchy wud be thr. Would you ever go to the temple or follows god's preachings or ever follow discipline thn. No...the straight answer is 'No'. People hate dark, they afraid of it but imagine, is it really possible to live in an all-day-and-no-night world. Impossible!!

Off course, good and bad are not two faces of a coin but are more like a holographic image, what you see wud never be same for the other person till he wont be on your shoes. The concept of Utopia is not just idealistic but dreadful too. You can't live in a world where there is no bad coz thn there wudn't be any gud too, tell me how you can love anyone without hating others (somebody just said its possible!! oh pls stop being hypocrite. I am so sick of it). Accept this, you cannot take the burdon of an angel at your right shoulder till you don't have the devil at other side. Its just a peice of balancing act tht perhaps god is playing with all of us!!
